Will the shut down bring the Halt The US?

Posted by | October 10, 2013 | Job Opportunities

Politicians would like you to believe everything stops, US bills aren’t paid and other scary things.
Not true.

The following briefly explains what is happening:

A. About 85% of the government is still functioning and will remain so on a “business as usual basis.”
B. $200 billion per month still comes into the US treasury. Our bills exceed income by about $50 billion monthly.
C. The government will prioritize its spending so that essentials and debt service continue as it normally does.
1. It’s not the end of the world.
D. The shut down is not permanent. It will last another week to three weeks at most.
E. DC will extend the debt ceiling during negotiations.
1. In my humble opinion this will occur any day.

In the mean time:
Stay positive. Continue your job search as you normally would.
Don’t watch the news media groups or listen to politicians that like to instigate fear and negativity.

Instead read non-bias factual material and use your common sense.

We will get through this just as we have gotten through the numerous government shut downs in the past.
